After a half marathon and a night on the loo, I woke up exhausted, but surprisingly pain free. Expected some repercussions from the hips and general stiffness, but not much at all. And then remembered my 10am doctors appointment for my travel vaccinations.
Oh boy! Had to have a Hepatitis A and Typhoid shot - lucky they do a two in one. The nurse told me that I may have a sore spot on my arm, and maybe a bit of numbness straight away. No worries, I said. She gave the best shot I've ever had - didn't feel a thing. Until about an hour later!
I have no use of my left arm. Contemplated cutting my t-shirt off last night in order to get undressed. Starting to look like a stroke victim with arm hanging limply by my side. But hanging limply, it still moves, and that hurts, so now thinking of tying it down to prevent movement. Paracetamol has no effect. Arnica got laughed at! Thinking a voltaren and myprodol cocktail followed by bed rest for a week, might do the trick - oh and a gin and tonic or two?
Later - hic!
